This is a page that was written prior to the actual release of 3.5 and as such should be updated. First read the official release notes and update procedure: http://documentation.magnolia.info/releases/3-5-2.html

Changes in web.xml

• rename info.magnolia.cms.filters.MagnoliaManagedFilter to info.magnolia.cms.filters.MgnlMainFilter

• remove the servlet definition and mapping for info.magnolia.cms.cache.CacheGeneratorServlet (the servlet has been removed in 3.5)

Changes in repository configuration

• Magnolia 3.5 uses jackrabbit 1.3, and the repository mapping file has been updated. You are encouraged to replace your repository configuration with the samples in WEB-INF\config\repo-conf

• You can keep the old repository configuration but if indexing is enabled you will need at least to modify the list of class names for the textFilterClasses property

Update Mechanism:

• The final release of 3.5 will do all this changes automatically by having a core module, till then please check the list of the following report: http://jira.magnolia.info/browse/MAGNOLIA-1448
